Trails in Clarksville

Clarksville has two parks with great unpaved trails, Dunbar Cave State Park and Rotary Park.

Dunbar Cave State Park

Official website: http://www.state.tn.us/environment/parks/DunbarCave/
Dunbar Cave State Park has a 1.1 mile "Short Loop" and a 1.9 mile "Recovery Trail", both measured from the visitor's center. If you follow these loops, part of them will be paved. However, if you start at the upper parking lot instead of at the building, you can cut out the paved sections.

Rotary Park

Rotary Park's trails aren't as well-marked and easy to follow as the ones at Dunbar Cave State Park, but there are a lot more of them. The park entrance is located off the 41A Bypass, about 2/10 of a mile South of the stoplight at Madison St (the intersection by the Kmart, Walmart, and Starbucks). Here is a map showing the location of the park entrance, the first parking area, and the two nearest places you can pick up the trail. There are several additional parking locations along the drive, and the trails pass near each of these. This park also allows mountain biking on its trails.
